My Quest For Quintessential
My Quest For Luxury & Fine Craftsmanship Took Me To House Of Kotwara By Meera And Muzaffar Ali . I Was Awestruck By The Beautiful Workmanship And Alluring Colors Of Their Clothes. I Recollect My Words To Sama Ali, The Creative Director Of The Brand. “I Could Spend My Entire Day Amidst Your Beautiful Collection Of Clothes .”
So It All Started With A Beautiful Vintage Dupatta In Black And Gold Embellished With Zardozi And Sequins Which I Loved . I Told Sama Ali , The Creative Director Of House Of Kotwara . I Would Love To Have A Beautiful Lehenga In Black Velvet To Go With It, Which Will Be A Statement Piece And One Of It’s Own Kind .
You Always Get What Your Heart Desires . As An NRI I Have A Fascination For Indian Clothes . I Asked Sama Ali If She Could Sketch Me An Image Of The Outfit . And If I Liked The Sketch , We Go For It .
She Sketched Out The Outfit With A Very Graceful Full Sleeves Blouse In Georgette With Zardozi Details. And Designed The Lehenga With Small Bootis With White Pearls And Heavy Floral Scalloped Border. I Was Fond Of The Diagonal Oblique Border Which Sama Incorporated With Gold Diagonal Stripes On The Black Velvet At The Helm Of The Skirt Called Tukdi. I Was Very Sure From Day One That The Highlight Of The Outfit Will Be The Stunning Embellished Dupatta In Black And Gold Sequins With Zardozi Details.
The Outfit Looked So Regal and Vintage. It Reminded Me So Much Of The Magnificent Ensembles Worn In The Movie Umrao Jaan, Directed By The The Legend Director Muzaffar Ali, Founder Of The Brand Kotwara Whom I Really Admire.
I Finished My Final Look With The Traditional Henna On My Hands , A Red Bindi On My Forehead And Red Roses In My Hair .The Stunning Jewelery In Ruby Red Enamel And Polki From Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jaipur Added Glam To This Classic Outfit .
